Our Water Testing Kit

If you are concerned, worried or just curious about what's in your water then we are here to help.

Testing your drinking water with us is easy. Simply place an order for a water testing kit. We will send you a bottle with full instructions. Return the water sample in our postage-paid packaging and shortly after we will issue you with a detailed water report.

WHY TEST MY WATER?

The private companies that supply water in the UK generally use chlorination to kill harmful bacteria. They also monitor their drinking water supply for a few of the common contaminants. Unfortunately, sometimes things go wrong and standards are breached.

Water companies are not responsible for the contamination of water coming from your plumbing. If you live in a house built before 1970 then you might want to test for lead, a common contaminant. If you think your pipes are all made of copper there's even a chance they were joined with solder containing lead, if in doubt, test.

In rural or agricultural areas you may be concerned about ammonia, nitrite or nitrate in your water, if you're worried then order a water test kit.

A test strip may be a practical solution when testing for free chlorine or total chlorine but in general, testing strips cannot match the accuracy of a professional laboratory.

IMPROVING YOUR WATER

Test kit for water

We believe that everyone deserves clean water, so what happens if testing shows that your water contains a contaminant?

Long term exposure to some contaminants can be damaging to your families health. Fortunately, there is almost always an appropriate solution, but first, you need to understand the problem by testing.

Our detailed water reports will help you decide on the most suitable water filter.

You may have excellent water which does not require any treatment at all (some filters may event remove healthy minerals), you won't know without testing. Our water testing will help you understand your water hardness and help you decide whether or not you need a water softener.
