Nickel Water Test

£50.00

Recommended for targeted nickel testing in drinking water.

Nickel is a naturally occurring metal commonly found at low levels in drinking water. Metallic nickel is commonly used to coat taps and fittings which can leach into water supplies. Around 20% of the UK population is thought to have some form of nickel allergy. Accumulation of nickel in the body through chronic exposure to high levels may lead to several health complications including lung fibrosis, kidney, and cardiovascular disease. The UK drinking water standards require nickel contamination of drinking water to be less than 20 parts per billion (ppb).

Our Nickel Water Test provides an analysis of nickel contaminants that are found in drinking water. We report nickel concentrations in parts per billion along with pH (acidity), total dissolved solids, and water hardness.
